This South East tour is the basic circuit for all the southern circuits of the island.

The 20 day tour from Tananarive – Tuléar to Fort dauphin allows you to visit the paradisiacal sites of the

Big Island. Along the way, you will have the opportunity to discover crafts ... visit several national parks

and reserves, during this.

ITINERAIRE

Day 1:ANTANANARIVO

Flight to Antananarivo (TNR).

Welcome and transfer to the hotel

Dinner and overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 2: ANTANANARIVO – ANTSIRABE

Breakfast at the hotel.

Departure for Antsirabe. On the road, panoramic view of terraced rice fields and also the tombs of the

high land of Madagascar. Stop in to visit a handcrafted aluminum pots factory in Ambatolampy and visit

of the city. Arrived in Antsirabe, we settle in the hotel. Then, we visit the city, the workshops of semi-

precious stone cutters, the craftsmen who make splendid tablecloths by hand, a hallmark of Madagascar.

Visit of the City of Water and some workshops of artisans in Madagascar.

Night and lodging in hotel.

Day 3: ANTSIRABE – FIANARANTSOA

Breakfast at the hotel.

Before departure to Fianarantsoa , visit Avenue Antsirabe in rickshaw. Stop in Ambositra, the capital of

the Malagasy handicrafts and wood carving. Visit a few craft shops in the city of Ambositra.

Transfer to the capital of the Betsileo, Fianarantsoa. On the road, admiration of the Betsileo ethnic group

landscape with architecture and culture of the rice.

Day 4: TRAIN FIANARANTSOA – MANAKARA

The car drops us off at the station and leaves for Manakara. The landscape is fabulous and at each stop

the villagers sell their specialties, take a snack anyway. Arrival in Manakara 7 to 8 hours later, the car will

be waiting for us at the train station then transfer to the hotel.

Day 5: MANAKARA – RANOMAFANA

Breakfast at the hotel.

To the east coast of Madagascar, departure to visit the Pangalanes Channel in a Malagasy canoe. Visit

of the villages of fishermen, some endemic floras of the region plantation. We will cross a green

landscape, dotted with traveler’s trees (ravinala)

In the afternoon, visit the village on foot: the thermal baths and its hot water swimming pool, possibility of

swimming there. We are planning to do a night tour of the park.

Day 6: RANOMAFANA – AMBALAVAO

Breakfast and departure for the morning visit of Ranomafana National Park , ranomafana is a humid

forest that is characterized by the presence of endemic flora and fauna of the island. For the flora, there

are different types of orchids and ferns. Several faunas are found in this park as the different types of

lemurs and chameleons.

After the visit, we leave for Ambalavao, « the city of wine ».

Day 7: AMBALAVAO – RANOHIRA

Breakfast at the hotel.

Visit of the Antaimoro papermaking, (the specialty of the city).

We continue our journey and we stop in the village reserve of Anja, for a visit of 1 hour. Continuation of

the road crossing the beautiful landscapes of the south.

Arrival in Ranohira (Isalo).

Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 8: RANOHIRA

Departure after breakfast for the visit of the national park of Isalo. So, enjoy your hike to rub gidro and

sifaka. As for flora, the Tsingy are a real Eldorado for botanists with its 650 species of rare plants. This

walk requires good shoes.

We take the track of the Namaza circuit: where we can see many lemurs, we will then go to the blue

swimming pool and the black swimming pool as well as the waterfall of nymphs. To relax from this tiring

day, we can take a bath in the natural pool.

. Late in the afternoon, sunset in the famous « window of Isalo« .

Day 9: RANOHIRA – TULEAR

Breakfast at the hotel.

The park is known for its diverse landscapes, and the rat Canyon in the morning .

We leave Ranohira to join Tuléar,departure to the southern of Madagascar. View of the first south

baobab. Admiring the arid landscape and tombs of the Mahafaly ethnic group. Stop in the national park

Zombitse Vohibasia to see the southern baobabs.

Day 10: TULEAR – ANAKAO

Breakfast at the hotel.

Speedboat transfer to anakao.

The fishermen’s village where the one of the beautiful beach in the south is,Anakao.Nosy ve , Anakao

beach, bathing.

Day 11: ANAKAO

Breakfast at the hotel.

Anakao beach , bathing , discovery of the life of fishermen.

Day 12: ANAKAO – AMBOLA

Breakfast at the hotel.

Ambola domain, bathing ; coral reef 100m from the hotel to see the whales in the morning.

Visit ANGAP parc or Madagascar National Parc and Tsimapetsotsa in the afternoon : red flamingos ,

bottle baobab

Day 13: AMBOLA – ITAMPOLO

Day 15: LAVANONO

Breakfast at the hotel.

The lagoon of lavanono, quad, fishing, surfing

Very few people know that Lavanono is a very high quality surfing destination. An international

competition has already taken place there. Indeed, the structure of the coastline allows the offshore

waves to form exceptional and quite exhilarating rolls. Thrill-seekers will find their happiness here.

At the bottom of a huge canyon resembling a half crater overlooking the sea, created by the fall of an

asteroid around 4800 years ago, Lavanono was once a landlocked fishing village without water. The

villagers had to travel some 70 km in a zebu cart to collect water from the neighboring village.

Day 16: LAVANONO – CAP SAINTE MARIE –FAUX CAP

Breakfast at the hotel.

It is particularly famous for its magnificent beach of fine sand and its sumptuous dunes Take advantage

of your stay to admire the fauna of the Cap Sainte-Marie Special Reserve where you can admire the

hundreds of turtles that live there. Between August and November, it is also possible to admire

humpback whales.

Betanty or faux cap is a charming fishing village located 30 km south of the town of Tsihombe. The

village is open on a large lagoon of several kilometers, with a fine sandy beach preserved from mass

tourism.

Day 17: FAUX CAP – AMBOVOMBE – FORT DAUPHIN

After breakfast, we leave for Fort Dauphin

On the road you will admire ; the exceptional landscape of androy, the cactus forest, the sisal plantation

of Amboasary.

Day 18: FORT DAUPHIN

You will observe lush forests, mountains and magnificent rivers. Take advantage of the protected parks

Day 20: ANTANANARIVO - FLIGHT BACK

Breakfast at the hotel.

Visit of Antananarivo. Last purchase in the craft market. Transfer to the hotel.

Transfer to the Ivato airport to take the international flight. Boarding formalities.
